A hotel with environmental values

Today's Park Hotell Alta was established as the "Frokosthotellet" ("Breakfast Hotel") in 1987. The hotel started with 10 rooms as a "bed & breakfast" consept. Development and expansion have resulted in 34 rooms and meeting rooms for courses and conferences.

Park Hotell has chosen not to join any chain of hotels, something which has allowed development while preserving the hotel's unique character.

The guest book contains attestations from satisfied guests that clearly show the success of the hotel. The phrases that come up over and over again are "snug athomsphere", "peace and quiet", "wonderful service", "cosy".........

In 1997 was the Park Hotell awarded "establishment prize for women" from the Alta district.          

Good atmosphere Environmental values have a central place in our company philosophy. We think that this contributes to the hotel's good and friendly atmosphere and enhances the well being of our guests.

Our emphasis on environmental values has qualified us for the Swan Label and the European Flower. This acknowledges that we manage the hotel in accordance with a strict environmental code. Park Hotell Alta is one of the few hotels in Norway that have fulfilled the criteria for the prestigious Swan Label, and one of four in Europe with the EU-Flower.

The Swan Label is an official mark that has been established by the Nordic Cabinet council, and is the result of cooperation between the trade & industry, envionmental and consumer organisations. The Swan Label is a guarantee that a product or a service holds high environmental and quality standards.
